DISPATCHERS are the first trained point of contact in an emergency. They begin the critical work of getting the essential information, while remaining calm and calming others, and they send the proper emergency responders and set tone. We do on the job training while you are being paid. No prior training required, preferred but not necessary.

CORRECTION OFFICER The definition of a County Corrections Officer is “a person who is responsible for the supervision, safety and security of persons in jail awaiting trial”. A Correction Officer at the County Jail is one of the most important person at the department keeping the safety and security of inmate can give the victim a piece of mind after a crime has occurred knowing they don’t have access to harm them until trial. We do on the job training while you are being paid.  No prior training required, preferred but not necessary.

Starting pay $13.13 Hr

 

To serve the Courts , Jail, and To Protect and serve the community in a larger Territory not just a 7 mile radius. Promotions are available you could make a Cpl. within a year because of the volume of cases from illegal dumping to a Homicide. The only Department with a Dedicated Evidence Technician within the County.  You can promote to a Detective with training, experience, and a dedicated drive within as little as 2 years within the Department. You must have prior training and be Missouri Post Certified.  Academy or Prior Military law enforcement that have challenge the Missouri Post licensing.

 $15.69 Hr. Starting Pay

 

All non-certified employees are qualified to go through the Missouri Sheriff’s Department Academy for free (tution is approximately $7,000). We will select 2 employees prior to 2022 Academy based on work ethic, absentee, teamwork, scholarship paperwork,  and signing a 2 year contract.

 

 

Full time employees: Insurance provided, 401K, 13 paid Holidays, up to two weeks’ vacation the first year.
